Wrap-Up
“I love Rosalie's authentic and accessible approach to making art. She's very friendly, provides clear instruction, and creative prompts. As someone that lives in a city, I am glad to see that she created a class to help people look for nature in urban environments, I have been able to train myself to do that over the years, but it's a great reminder of the beauty that can be found in small urban pockets.”
Marian M.“Rosalie demonstrates simple ideas that have inspired me to go out in my backyard to sketch and paint what is coming up this spring. This is just what I was looking for to spark my creative energy and prepare me for more spring and summer adventures in nature. I love Rosalie's style and her calm, encouraging nature. Thank you!”
Nancy G.Yes! All the prompts can be used for regular nature journaling, too. The point of this class is to help us look extra closely at our environments to find inspiration even when nature is really limited.
Each day's prompt involves taking a short walk, followed by a creative sketchbook exercise. I'd recommend setting aside at least 30 minutes - 1 hour for each prompt.
This is a mixed-media class, so you can use whatever art materials you have on hand... even if that's just a pencil and paper! I'd recommend taking this opportunity to play with materials that you don't often use, since this class is a low-pressure setting in which to experiment.
